Situated to the side of the church in Sannat’s main square, Beppe’s Restaurant and Steakhouse has a wide pavement area for outdoor tables and a large modern interior for comfortable year-round dining. Central to the interior is Gozo’s only open kitchen, where you can see chef-patron Joseph Spiteri and his team at work. It’s a concept that breaks the divide between the kitchen and the restaurant, giving diners a rare glimpse into a professional kitchen. The service team also plays an important role, with friendly waiters explaining the overwhelming range of steak choices.
The menu encourages a mix-and-match approach for starters. The mini Angus burgers with mature cheddar and truffle mayo on a brioche bun are a delight. Filo pastry lamb samosas are as tasty as they come, while the chef’s famous pan-seared rabbit liver is a great tribute to local cuisine. Other main dishes include pasta and fresh fish selections, baby calamari, and herb-battered chicken. Beppe’s is heaven for meat lovers, with a display of fresh and aged steaks to choose from. Every cut is packed with flavour and grilled to perfection in a wood-burning oven. There’s a rich variety of sides too—truffle and parmesan fries, sweet potato fries, buttery corn and more. Finish your meal with one of the crowd-pleasing homemade desserts.
