Situated at the end of a row of restaurants in Marsalforn, Arzella is at the very tip of the bay where its elevated terrace provides spectacular sea views perfect for enjoying a relaxing lunch or dinner. There is also an indoor area on the first floor, tucked safely away from storm waves and sea spray, making it one of the few comfortable year round dining options in this area. Its position in the Menqa is a central feature of this restaurant and much prized by the family who established the restaurant in 1986, allowing owner Chris to moor his own fishing boat within view and deal directly with the local fisherman as they bring in their daily catch.
It is no surprise then that although there are meat and pasta options available the emphasis at Arzella is very much on the quality of their fish and seafood dishes. Seasonality is key and although the menu alters weekly daily specials are still added to showcase anything special that has been caught that day. Expect the efficient staff to offer you a tempting range of fresh fish steaks, fillets and carpaccio or to suggest the popular mixed fish and shellfish platters if you are finding it too hard to choose just one dish! There are plenty of local wines on hand to accompany your meal as well as bottles specially handpicked and imported from Italy.
