Surf ‘N Turf is the crowning effort of Joshua Borg and Kerstin Manicolo, two highly sought-after restaurant professionals whose stunning track record and expertise are matched only by their enthusiasm for exceptional service and cuisine. The dining area is tastefully decorated in muted tones with a feature wall of honey-coloured Maltese stone and a selection of vibrant works of art that create a bold but pleasing visual contrast, balancing the elegant and contemporary. The outside area is enjoyable throughout the year especially during the milder seasons. Joshua and his team treat their patrons to an exceptional dining experience and navigate the dining area with coordination and grace.
In the kitchen, Kerstin and team prepare works of art that please the senses with flavour, aroma and texture as well as striking colours, form and design. The seasonal menu includes French Gillardeau oysters, carpaccio of fresh black angus beef fillet with micro cress, crushed pistachios and oven roasted cherry tomatoes drizzled in extra virgin olive oil. Their signature dish is a half lobster thermidor and USDA beef fillet medallions served with buttered asparagus and thyme jus. For the adventurous, Kerstin and team will concoct a degustation menu tailored to taste, while Joshua will draw on his extensive experience as a sommelier for the perfect wine pairing. The dessert menu changes regularly but is always guaranteed to conclude the experience on a perfectly delectable note; when available do try the Valrhona Dark chocolate fondant with amarena ice cream.
