Castelletti Restaurant (formerly San Andrea) is set in a 400-year-old palazzo in the heart of Rabat. The building was lovingly restored some four years ago. The menu of this eclectic restaurant changes seasonally and uses an array of fresh ingredients to create imaginative Asian and European dishes. They also have a selection of daily fish specials. Start with a delightful beef tataki cooked on open flame then marinated in tataki salsa with a Japanese cabbage salad, or French goats cheese coated with pistachios, and drizzled with beetroot puree, on a bed of mixed leaves and orange and honey sauce. For your main, indulge in the five spice duck breast pan seared with bok choy, fig gel and cherry sauce, or the mouthwatering oven-roasted baby pork racks with crackling, apples and cinnamon, shallot puree and veal jus.
