Tucked away in a residential area of Victoria, ‘Patrick’s’ is a little oasis of calm. A lounge bar provides a social area to wait for friends, take aperitifs or sip after dinner drinks, whilst in the main dining room, low light levels and eye level screening between tables, has created a space where you focus on your guests and conversation. This intimacy has made it a favourite choice for small group business dinners or intimate gatherings with close friends, as well as for couples with romantic occasions. Service here is exceptional, with a high ratio of uniformed waiters attentive to tables, calm, efficient, friendly, and well-informed about the menu.
The menu includes a little of everything, although unusually for Gozo, the influences here are not Italian but classically French in style. There is an impressive range of starter options and daily specials, but most people head here for the known quality of the meat dishes, especially the char-grilled beef options of rib eye-steak, beef fillet, Kobi rib-eye and sirloins. To accompany your meal, you’ll find an award-winning wine list, which although recently edited, continues to provide an enormous choice whatever your palate and budget. In-house desserts and a range of speciality coffees are available to round off your meal. A six course tasting menu is available on weekdays (book 24+ hours in advance).
