With panoramic views of Balluta Bay and a first class menu, Nori is one of the best locations on the island for a good mix of alfresco Asian food; perfectly complemented with a super cool vibe. A post-work DJ winds down the outside heated terrace after 8pm, spinning a more relaxed groove to savour the sights and authentic flavours. An extensive wine list covers the most palatable vineyards but if a Moscow Mule is more your flavour, Nori has you covered! Efficient staff are warm, friendly and passionate about the job.
The food menu is an excellent representation of the diversity of Asian food. Served in starter portions (with starter prices) the emphasis is to formulate variety. A range of Japanese dumplings, beef dim-sum or pork and lemongrass gyoza are served in bamboo trays, Thai skewers of lamb satay or tempura fish are excellent, as are the Indian curries served with rice, poppadoms and naan. Great vegetarian options like the Korean miso tofu and vegetable stir-fry, or sesame battered vegetables for a far-east fry up. Get a great selection of all these dishes and more with a mixed platter in all regional styles. The desserts are exceptional and beautifully presented. Kaffir lime fried ice-cream with lychee syrup is wonderful, or try the crispy ginger fondant spring rolls, totally awesome. Modestly priced excellent food with a totally cool ambience.
