The olive oil on your table comes from olive trees in the family’s own fields, as do the vegetables, olives and herbs used daily in their dishes. Apart from the restaurant itself, Meraki also offers outside catering, cooking for dinner parties in the client’s own home.
Start your meal with a mixture of starters to share or choose your own. The delicious trio of stuffed ravioli in bianca, garnished with local herbs, or the mouth-watering acquerello risotto with a calamari, garlic and cherry tomato sauce slow cooked for three hours, or the carbonara alla chitarra with aged guanciale, grated pecorino, eggs and crushed peppercorns, are all highly recommended. For your main, choose from a wide choice of meats and fish. Indulge in slow-cooked, smoked pork ribs served with a tangy, sweet, smoky sauce, or the braised New Zealand lamb shanks, slow cooked over 24 hours, with brunoise vegetables cooked in their own juices. Conclude with warm imqaret or prickly pear fruit topped with ice-cream.
