iPlace is clean, crisp and very modern; a contemporary icon set in an old fishing village. As the name suggests, technology and food engage in unison. Almost every table, inside and out, has independent cable TV, and iPads are used as menus. Simply swipe through an array of food courses and international wines, beautifully illustrated with photographs and descriptions. Children are more than welcome and there is plenty to occupy them, all the iPads are network connected and loaded with games, allowing the grown ups to relax and enjoy a stress free experience.
The restaurant offers a range of mixed starters and platters to share from cheesy bruschetta, sizzling homemade pork sausages to fried calamari. There’s a large selection of pasta and risotto dishes including penne pesto Genovese and chicken and mushroom risotto. Their famous iPlace signature pizza topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and sesame seeds is a must. A great selection of meat charcoal grilled to your liking as well as other favourites including the hearty Irish beef stew, juicy roast lamb, chicken cacciatore and traditional fish and chips are just a snippet of what’s on offer. Cakes from Santa Lucia and selected fruity ice-creams and milkshakes are available for dessert. This is a great restaurant for any occasion. There’s a robust selection of local, French and Italian wine available. Just don’t forget about the kids!
