A consistent winner of the Guide year after year, Giuseppi’s needs no introduction to the island’s culinary savvy diners. This popular restaurant delights patrons with a decor style reminiscent of the Hamptons and features French provincial furniture and ornaments with a bright and fresh ambiance. The decking and outdoor area allow diners to enjoy the sea and country views. Giuseppi’s perfectly balances the fine line of elegant dining without being too stuffy or taking itself too seriously. It’s a place where you’re allowed to relax and be treated to an indulging dining experience. An intimate, private dining room is also available for groups of up to 14 people surrounded by their extensive collection of whiskey. Service is impeccable and staff are extremely well versed in both the wine list and menu items.
The carefully curated menu changes daily expressing the creative use of seasonal and fresh produce available. Firm Gozitan asparagus are tossed in butter and almonds and the neonati, lemon, parsley, pecorino and chilli fritters are served with a delightful salsa verde. The local rabbit cooked with onions, garlic, port and chocolate is a testament to the rich knowledge of complimentary combinations offered. Roast rump of lamb served with hummus and lebneh and a coriander and lime dressing demonstrate the confidence of including refined international dishes with traditional fare such as seasonal fresh fish and choice cuts of beef. For dessert, the malt chocolate parfait served with honeycomb is sublime. A fine wine and whisky selection is also available.
