Don Berto

"outstanding views of the harbour" whilst dining at the "outside tables". "Great ambiance and the food is excellent"

Ascending the stone steps of the old Treasury to Don Berto’s balustraded balcony allows you to gaze outwardly onto the magnificent views of historic Senglea and the Vittoriosa marina. The stylishly modern interior creates a pleasant juxtaposition with the traditional honey coloured stone walls. The balcony has been revamped to include a glass and steel canopy extending their seating capacity to include comfortable dining in winter weather.
The menu is agreeable to all palates, offering a variety of fish and meat dishes along with salads, pasta and a large choice of pizzas. For those who like to share, platters feature selections of cured meats, international cheeses, Maltese sausages and seafood are ample offerings. Starters may include salmon and prawn cakes with maris piper potatoes, Scottish smoked salmon, baby prawns, basil pesto, saffron aioli and petit salad. Toffee shaped pasta, stuffed with Parma ham and cheese, tossed in blossom honey cream and smoked pancetta may be ordered as a starter or main portions. Main courses include a selection of cast of the day fish and seafood at market prices as well as meat dishes including duo of duck, pork BBQ ribs, milk fed veal chop and beef cuts. All main courses are served with roasted potatoes or fries & seasonal vegetables or fresh salad. Local and international wines are available.
