Cosmana Navarra, Rabat
Cosmana Navarra is a casual restaurant set in one of Rabat’s oldest palazzos serving traditional Italian fare with a local twist. The restaurant is under new management and they are committed to continue Cosmana’s tradition of serving the authentic trattoria fare given a local twist by Chef Mark Borg. House specialties include fresh, handmade pasta, Italian grills and wood-fired pizza.
If walls could talk! This palazzo was built by Cosmana Navarra (1600-1682), a remarkable woman and the benefactress of the Rabat parish church, which you can drink in spectacular views of during your meal. You’ll also discover the palazzo’s secrets, from original 17th century features to hidden rooms designed by Cosmana herself. Choose from a cosy table tucked into one of the secluded dining rooms, to a spacious table for your whole family in the grand dining room, all enjoying soaring ceilings and church views. Or turn your ordinary evening into an extraordinary one by booking the balcony: the most romantic setting for two.
Visit to try the new house specialties: handmade pasta, salmon and octopus carpaccio and rabbit saddle.
With flexible spaces for 8 to over 100 guests, they also offer event packages for everything from birthdays to intimate banquets.
