Café del Mar is a stylish, lido restaurant – lively and busy in summer, peaceful and relaxed in winter. The dining tables are strategically placed all along the large glass windows so that patrons may enjoy luscious sea views. At intervals a barrier of white bamboo separators provides privacy for each small cluster of tables so one has the impression of being almost alone. All along the opposite wall stretches a glistening, bustling, open kitchen.
Café del Mar has a separate lunch and dinner menu with slight variations and additions. Both include salads, pizza, pasta and burgers with a lovely selection of starters and mains. Start with the chicken liver parfait with fig puree, toasted rosemary focaccia, petit salad, honey and grain mustard dressing or black shell mussels, white wine, shallots, herbs and double cream. or try a sharing platter of antipasto. The fish and seafood bowl full of local prawns, calamari, vongole, mussels, swordfish and tuna is fresh and yummy or the spiced marinated chicken thighs with pok choy, mange tout, dill and cucumber yogurt, sushi rice is fresh and colourful. Tasty cuts of beef are also available from the grill as well as certified angus beef burgers with a selection of toppings. All grills are served with seasonal vegetables and rustic potatoes.
