Browns restaurant enjoys prime location on the Valletta Waterfront in one of the amazing historical stone vaults. Outdoor diners are seated by the Laguna Marina and may admire views of the magnificent Grand Harbour with cruise liners and yachts berthed by the waterfront and the fabulous backdrop of the Three Cities. Indoors, the mellow lights and chequered flooring with art exhibitions adorning the stone walls, combine to create a cosy ambience in the spacious surroundings. Browns is family run and management is passionate about food and their patrons’ enjoyment of it.

The vast menu includes platters, starters, soups, salads, pasta, pizza, poultry and game and fish. Start off with the cheesy garlic bread and some tender marinated octopus or cured salmon marinated in beetroot and served with a petite salad. Next share the ricotta gnocchetti tossed in sundried tomatoes, basil, rucola, peppered goat’s cheese and pine nuts.  Mains include chicken Diane marinated and grilled local breast served with chestnut mushroom, brandy and mustard sauce or the slowly braised, thick veal osso bucco served in a thin gravy jus and fresh vegetables.  Lovely fresh fish and seafood options is also available.  Sides include potatoes roased, mashed or  fried and fresh vegetables and sauces.  All is fresh and homemade at Browns, from the garlic, herb and lemon butters to the desserts.
